Joe Hutton was ready to take the next step in his career as a master plumber by leaping to work for himself, creating Hutton Plumbing as a result.
He needed a simple website to share with customers to gain their trust and prove he’s legitimate, and for friends and family to send out to their networks as a referral.

A simple website with an eye for future SEO
Joe needed a simple but effective website to communicate what he does, how he works and how to get ahold of him. His family, friends and others around him were eager to share his new venture, and this website gave them something tangible to send out to their networks for those seeking plumbing services. I built this initial website on Squarespace to get him started and optimized its homepage for “independent plumber”.
As Hutton Plumbing continues to grow, we have a clear roadmap for how we’ll continue to improve and add to its website with SEO and lead generation top-of-mind.
The power of local listings and reviews
Outside of the website itself, I helped Joe claim and optimize his local listings (business profiles) in major search engines, including Google. As you can see below, he often appears in search results where his business is located, Monticello, MN. He’s done a consistent job at requesting reviews post-jobs and has an excellent rating which will continue to service him as the business grows with time.
